About Me

Hi there—I’m an adolescent therapist with over 13 years of experience supporting youth, adolescents, and families. My background as a school psychologist has given me deep insight into the emotional, social, and academic pressures young people face today. My career has been rooted in supporting adolescents and parents across both educational and therapeutic settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how children learn, behave, and grow—and how systems impact families along the way.

My background as a school psychologist has also provided me with a deep understanding of learning differences, ADHD, neurodiversity, and the ways these experiences can impact a young person’s confidence, relationships, and sense of self. I have extensive experience helping students and families navigate academic stress, perfectionism, executive functioning challenges, evaluations, and school supports such as IEPs and 504 Plans. I understand that a student’s struggles are not always a reflection of ability or effort, but often a sign that they need the right understanding, support, and tools to thrive.

I believe parents play an important role in their teen’s growth. I value collaborative partnerships with caregivers while also protecting the trust and confidentiality that allows teens to feel safe in therapy.

In my work, I focus on building a genuine, trusting connection with each individual. I show up as real, engaged, and nonjudgmental—someone they can talk to openly without being analyzed. I believe therapy should be a safe space—to be completely yourself, to feel comfortable dropping your guard, and a space that’s free from the pressures to perform. My focus is your child feeling heard and understood. Not only for what they’re going through, but for what they may be holding in beneath the surface.

I take a strengths-based, compassionate & neurodiversity-affirming approach to explore emotions that may not have had a place to be understood before. Alongside this, I integrate practical tools from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help teens and young adults manage anxiety, reduce overthinking, and feel more grounded and in control. This allows me to support both deeper understanding and real-life change.
